Our client: Our client is present in 103 countries. Our group of companies provide communications services to clients worldwide.
Salary Range: $150,000 to $200,000 + Great Benefits
Responsibilities:
This is an exciting time for those in the media industry; the traditional landscape is changing and the old models are proving more challenging to sustain growth. For those willing to lead the way, new opportunities are emerging that will transform the way we do business and the services we offer to clients.
The incumbent CEO is moving into a chairman's role before he retires later on in 2011. In preparation we wish to hire a replacement for our company in South Africa who will take the agency into a new era of growth and commercial success. We require is an inspirational leader to unite the agency around our core values, develop and win business opportunities with new and existing clients and ultimately drive the business forward with renewed vigor to become a commercial success.
Duties:
- Growth of the company in the region to become the number 1 agency.
- Identify and remove barriers to success.
- Agree and approve annual agency business plans, including strategy and P&L, with regional agency management.
- Set expectations in accordance with client requirements and agency goals,
- Set financial performance targets for the teams; ensure delivery of annual plans for the agency.
- Develop new business opportunities.
- Optimize growth opportunities through development of global client relationships.
- Lead fee negotiations to ensure best aggregate pricing in the market.
- Identify and implement new revenue models and services in compliance with client contracts.
- Where relevant incorporate, customize, adopt Group assets and IP to enhance the client offering.
- Provide the inspiration for the agencies mission and values, goals, policies, services and initiatives.
- Champion and execute the talent strategy to ensure that we attract, develop and retain the best people.
- Keep global leadership apprised of opportunities and advancements to deliver on agency goal.
Qualifications:
- Proven history in effective leadership and performance management
- Communications professional, with experience in the media sector and in media trading
- Proven experience of driving top-line growth
- Demonstrable experience of new business success
- Strong commercial acumen, numerate and with experience of running a business and having profit responsibility
- International experience in either agency management or running multi-national clients
