Enrique Mesones has been working as Executive Recruiter since 1999 after spending several years leading the Operations and HR Department in Latin America for a Multinational Retail Company. As the President of Smart Connections Inc., Enrique leads business development for the firm and works on senior level searches around the globe. His searches span many industries and include Aviation, Consumer Products, Education, Financial and Professional Services, Software, Technology & Telecommunications, Media, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices, Management Consulting, and others.

Enrique is an expert in Diversity. He has worked on multiple searches as part of Multicultural and Diversified Business Development Initiatives. Enrique is also an authority in Internet research and has developed strategic programs on effectively working with senior management and C level executives.

Enrique's professional experience also includes experience in Marketing and Sales in Latin America for Multinational Pharmaceutical Companies such as Eli Lily and Smithkline Beecham.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, School of Economics from University of Lima, Peru. He holds diplomas in Human Resources Management, Marketing Strategy and Administration. Bilingual: English & Spanish.

Helen Wood is the newest member of the Smart Connections team. With an extensive background in media relations, international sales and marketing and creative research Helen brings a further dimension to our global organization.

Based in New York, Helen specializes in executive searches within the US and Australasia.

As the former VP of Cyg & Associates Inc and International Sales Director at IT-ComNet Japan, Helen has had over twelve years of experience as a line-producer, researcher and international sales director. Her work with NHK Japan Broadcasting Corporation has garnered several prodigious awards in the Japanese Television industry.

Educated at Geelong Grammar School, Trinity College, Melbourne University and Monash University, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Japanese language and culture. After graduating, Helen accepted a position from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as lecturer in English studies at Iwasaki College, Yokohama, Japan where she received a citation from the City of Yokohama and the Japanese Ministry of Education for the excellence of the results she achieved.

Helen's extraorinarily well developed communication skills and diverse experience across a number of cultures provides her with a well-structured foundation to meet the needs of the clients of Smart Connections.

Eleonora Tinoco is the valuation director of Smart Connections Inc. ("Smart Connections") in New York. Ms. Tinoco has been a business appraiser and corporate finance consultant for more than 10 years. Ms. Tinoco has being able to serve national and international clients with operations and assets located in North America, Central and South America, and Europe due to her bilingual skills.

Ms. Tinoco has supervised and performed a variety of valuation and consulting engagements including the valuation of business enterprises, business interests, and tangible and intangible assets for financial reporting, taxation and strategic purposes across a variety of industries including the energy, healthcare, media, telecommunications, sports/live entertainment, and retail industries.

Ms. Tinoco has a Bachelors degree in Economics from Florida International University and financial analysis and project management certifications from New York University. In addition, Ms. Tinoco has completed advanced valuation training including the American Society of Appraisers ("ASA") exams for certification as well as recent real option training. She is a candidate member of the ASA as well as a member of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting in the New York City chapter.

A strong academic background, the willingness to lead, and a passion for working with others are what make Maria Teresa Bergna a valued member of the Smart Connections, Inc. executive team. As the firm's first Director of Business Valuation - International Markets she is committed to delivering positive bottom line results for both clients and investors.

From the start of her career with IBM in Lima Peru, where she developed two distinct processes that yielded a $1 million saving each and satisfied the goals of each of the 11 countries in the region it was apparent that Maria was a born achiever.

Having completed four years with the Fortune 500 Company, she joined Enfoca Advisory, the biggest private equity fund in Peru. As a financial analyst for the companies private equity group Maria was assigned to the advisory group. There she built valuation models, defined the enterprise value of target companies, and identified ideal acquisition targets and projected potential for use in M&A (mergers and acquisitions) in addition entry into emerging markets.

These experiences helped Maria build an exclusive network of trusted colleagues, associates and executives throughout Latin America with roots in healthcare, oil services, retail, mining, government institutions, private associations, pension funds and other public market sectors.

Maria's academic credentials are equally impressive. She earned a Bachelor of Science and the professional title of Industrial Engineer from the University de Lima and completed a Master of Finance from University Del Pacifico, where she graduated 2nd in her class and was a recipient of the Robert Maees award. Maria's thesis on behavioral financial was the first of its kind in Peru. Last year, Maria accepted by The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where she is a Master in Business Administration in Finance, Health-care, and Strategic Management candidate and is a member of the Consulting Club, Private Equity Club and Director of Corporate Development - Latin America for the Global Management Club.

Determined and disciplined, Maria is as pro-active in her personal life as she is in every other area of her life. Last year she completed her first marathon.
